MS-Omics at EMBO practical course on metabolomics and bioinformatics

Our data scientist Thorsten Gravert is back from a week in Wageningen, NL, after attending the EMBO Practical course on metabolomics bioinformatics for life scientists.

The course focused on key issues affecting metabolomics studies, with hands-on training in the most recent bioinformatics tools for metabolomics data analysis. Through a week filled with lectures, computer-based practical sessions and interactive discussions, Thorsten and all the participants were provided a great platform to discuss key questions and challenges in our field, from study design to multi-omics data fusion. 
 
Especially exciting were the sessions on combining metagenomics and metabolomics results, which generated much interest, as we recently teamed up with Clinical Microbiomics.
